Last night our unit went on a tour of the (still relatively new) Department of Fire and Emergency Services communications centre. We saw the SHOO (State Hazard Operations Officer), Soc (State Operations Centre), the Roc (Regional Operations Centre) and the communications centre where all calls for 000 for fire and SES for the state are dispatched.
